Texas A&M remains alive, eliminates LSU in Regional

This weekend I have the fortune to work for the University of Texas A&M who needed a photographer to cover the weekend NCAA Regional softball tournament hosted by LSU at Tiger Park. Today was my first time working directly for a university, but I have worked for some high schools, and basically the coverage would be based mostly on what Texas A&M would be doing on the field.

The softball regional began on Friday, but I was set to shoot until Saturday’s games, A&M lost in their Friday game against Louisiana Lafayette so one more loss and they are out. Today action started with McNeese State who lost to LSU on Friday and would face elimination from the tournament against Texas A&M on Saturday.

It was a close game but Texas A&M freshman pitcher, Melissa Dumezich threw a complete game in the 2-0 shut out against McNeese State that set up a game against the LSU Lady Tigers later that evening. The Lady Tigers would also face Dumezich on the mound and went on to lose in a 1-0 shut out.
